2012 Travel Tryout Information

Deerfield Youth Softball

Girls Travel Softball Tryouts

Saturday, August 27 @ Maplewood Park

10u from 12:00-1:30

12u from 1:30-3:00

14u from 3:00-4:30

(Rain date is Sunday, August 28)

Tryouts for the 2012 Deerfield Warriors 10u (born in 2001 or later), 12u (born in 1999 or 2000), and 14u (born in 1997 or 1998) fast pitch travel softball teams are open to any girl born on or after January 1, 1997 who resides in a home feeding from Deerfield, Bannockburn or Riverwoods for Deerfield High School. Other players from surrounding communities may also try out – contact the Directors of Travel for more information.

Players must actively play DYBA/DYSBA House League Softball until they complete 6th Grade.

Our goal is to field as many qualified teams as possible in 2012. We realistically plan on having at least 2 teams in each the 10u, 12u and 14u age groups. At the conclusion of tryouts the numbers will be evaluated and the exact number of teams will be determined. At the same time we will determine the best way to divide our teams within a specific age grouping.

Players can anticipate receiving an email with tryout results prior to Monday, September 12.
