Coach Irvine returns for his 18th year of coaching baseball and will be heading up the 12 Red Team. Coach Irvine has experience ranging from the collegiate ranks to 8U. He spent 6 years as the Varsity and Sophomore Assistant/Pitching Coach for Deerfield High School before helping coach the Albany Dutchmen of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He was a founder of the NSBA Hawks Travel Baseball Program in 2008 at the age of 23. Coach Irvine was the President of the Pony house league from 2015-2018 and served on the DYBA Board during those times as the Head of House League Baseball and Assistant Commissioner. Coach Irvine was instrumental in developing many of the house and travel baseball camps that are still used today with DYBA.
He graduated from Deerfield High School, where he played baseball and football. While at DHS, Coach Irvine was a two-time All-Conference pitcher and shortstop, earning all-area honors his senior year, and was selected to the Junior and Senior Central Suburban League All Star teams. He currently holds the record for lowest ERA in a season for DHS of 1.24. He was an All-Conference defensive back for the football team and a two-time Scholar athlete Award Winner his Senior year. Coach Irvine rostered at the University of Kansas for baseball and was a founding member of their club baseball organization. He currently resides in Lombard, Illinois with his Wife Allison, Son Austin and dog Holly.
